Set Your Horse Free

Our Track - Eagle, Idaho

Our track system consists of 15-25 foot wide paths outlining 3 acres of fencing that consists of a vinyl boundary fence and interior fence made of safe, strong electro braid. The paths wind in and around fields where there are multiple feed, water, and mineral stations located around the track to continually perpetuate forward movement. Resting and rolling areas are also designed into the track to allow horses the choice to move off the main track for a rest, roll, or play/grooming time with buddies. Irrigated pastures available for controlled grazing. The herd is carefully monitored for any out of line behavior as this will not be tolerated.

This track is designed for barefoot horses. This is for a few reasons. Given that this is purely a herd environment, disagreements between herd members do happen and are much less harmful when metal shoes are not involved. Additionally, our herd has 24/7 access to forage in hay nets which can be hazardous if a shoe gets caught in a net. Most horses, given a proper diet, a proper barefoot trim, and freedom to move continuously over varying terrain will maintain solid hooves able to participate without lameness. Those wishing to go barefoot on the track will benefit from a much quicker rehabilitation time when combined with a natural barefoot trim. Please inquire for more details about this process or to speak with our equine podiatrist.
